Scope and Contents

From the Collection: The Phi Beta Kappa, Alpha of Utah records (1900-1998) contain annual reports, by-laws, a constitution, minutes, memos, course and election requirements, and correspondence. Histories of the Alpha chapter in Utah provide more insight to the society during the 1930's and 1940's. Constitutions from 1982 to 1995 are also present. The original order of the collection was maintained. Also, the current liberal course requirements for membership in the society are available. Nineteen issues of the Phi Beta Kappa Journal, American Scholar, have been removed from the collection.
