Scope and Contents

From the Collection: The Charles Smith Merrill papers (1968-1982) consist of materials composed and utilized by Smith in his personal writings and LDS doctrinal studies. This collection includes genealogical records relative to the Cardy and Crouch families; a large selection of personal poetry composed by Merrill, and research notes relative to LDS Church history, cosmology, scripture and spirituality. The collection also includes a copy of his manuscript "For Heaven's Sake, Save Thyself" in two volumes, and a sketchbook containing his drawings depecting the "LDS Plan of Salvation."
