Correspondence. Mr. Pfeiffer's association with the American West began as a Vice-President and General Manager for Lane Book Company. Later, when the American West Publishing Company was formed, Mr. Pfeiffer became the publisher. Because the editorial offices were located in Salt Lake City and the production-distribution was handled in California these letters contain a solid core of information about the internal co-operation and conflict in magazine production.
