Scope and Contents

From the Collection: These images of mailboxes were collected by Joe Cecola and donated by Lloyd Shaw with the rest of the 1982 projects. The two albums were transferred in 2000 to the Photo Archive. There is no corresponding paper project for these photos; only the photos were donated. The magnetic albums were disassembled by the Preservation department in 200 due to acidic backings. Similar mailbox folklore projects can be found in Utah folklore collection (MS 0488), Box 11 folder 14, Box 18 folder 4, Box 26 folder 20, Box 31 folder 3, Box 40 folder 10, Box 45 folder 17, Box 46 folder 3, Box 46 folder 15, Box 47 folder 5, and Box 49 folder 20.
