Scope and Contents

  1. Photograph number 1: "John Payne the comic entertainer of the show, who with his southern dialect was always popular."
  2. Photograph number 2: "Alberto Gutierrez, official troubadour of Mexico, who played all over Mexico and in the leading spots of our big cities. Alberto played in two pictures with Jeanette MacDonald and Nelson Eddy and was a featured artist with Andre Kostelanetz's orchestra. Alberto stopped the show in every town and they would hardly let him stop entertaining."
  3. Photograph number 3: "Tony Costello with the band boys singing the theme song of the band wagon show."
  4. Photograph number 4: "Jerry Ziering, Trumpeter who played with two of the leading band names of the country and a fine entertainer."
  5. Photograph number 5: "Stanley Greenston, Master of Ceremonies of the Kearns special entertainment group. Stanley toured the country with a Major Bow's unit and is a showman who will go far in civilian life."
  6. Photograph number 6: "Jerry Ziering the trumpeter with the Kearns unit doing his stuff in front of the Utah Theater, Salt Lake City, Utah."
  7. Photograph number 7: "Moro Gonzales, nationally known newspaper cartoonist and artist. Moro entertained the crowds with his original sketches, and the one shown in the picture of Uncle Sam was auctioned off in every community to surprising returns."
  8. Photograph number 8: "John Payne in one of his most excruciating numbers."
