Scope and Contents

From the Collection: The Marian Robertson Wilson papers (1920s-2013) consist of correspondence, article drafts, and a program relating to an article written by Marian Wilson about her father, musician and composer Leroy Robertson. The article was published in the Journal of Book of Mormon Studies and is titled: "Leroy Robertson and the oratorio from the Book of Mormon: reminiscences of a daughter." Also included are materials relating to Marian Wilson's studies of Coptic music, drafts of the book entitled: Leroy Robertson, music giant from the Rockies, teaching materials, and drafts of her dissertation entitled: Classical Arabic and colloquial Cairene: an historical linguistic analysis. The collection also contains guides to coptic music recordings, research concerning Ragheb Moftah. Correspondences with Jean Cocteau and Wilson's translations of some of his works are also part ofthe collection.
