Biographical Note

Fletcher was born on 18 June 1918. A native of Park City, Fletcher attended public schools and participated in high school athletics. He served twice in the Navy. Fletcher wrote a column in the Aircraft Mechanic for a couple years about ice skating events. He was well-known and respected in the skiing community. He worked as an instructor and competed in events, including ski jumping. Fletcher also worked part of his life at Geneva Steel.

Fletcher was born in Park City, Utah in 1918. He served twice in the U.S. Navy and wrote a column in Aircraft Mechanic about ice skating events. He competed in ski jumping and was well-known in the skiing community.
