Biographical / Historical
Hall was born in Ogden, Utah on 21 August, 1924. He lived most of his life in Ogden until 1943, when he left to serve the U.S. Army in WWII. After the war ended he and his brother Wendell, left again to serve a mission for the LDS Church in Argentina, When they came back to Utah, Wendell and Donald enrolled at the University of Utah, Here at the "U" his brother Tracy received a Ph.D. in Chemistry, which was one of the first Doctorate degrees given in that field of study. Donald R. Hall married Louse Scovel on 17 March 1950. He had five children, two of whom died at an early age. He graduated from the University of Utah and worked at Weber County School District for thirty one years until his retirement in 1983.
