Biographical Note

Oberhansly is best known for his book, Downwinders: An Atomic Tale, but he is also a well-known outdoorsman. One of Oberhansly's prevalent interests is freestyle skiing.

Abstract

The Oberhansly collection (1976-1977) consists of various materials relating to Oberhansly's interest and involvement in the freestyle skiing world during 1975-1977.

Arrangement

The collection is arranged first, with Midas clothing followed by freestyle skiing publication and documents relating to the Professional Freestyle Competitors' Association. Final documents include all oversized posters as well as an oversized scrapbook.

Immediate Source of Acquisition

This collection was donated by Curtis Oberhansly in 2002 and 2009.
