Scope and Contents

The railroad time books (1933-1955) contain two time books. The first time book (1933-1934) contains no handwriting, but does have advertisements for merchants in the Salt Lake City, Provo, and Ogden, Utah, areas. The second time book (1948-1949) has a listing of engineers, firemen, conductors, freight brakemen, passenger brakemen, yardmen, and yardmasters for the Salt Lake Division, W.P. Eastern Division, and the Nevada Northern Railway Company, as well as the dates each employee was hired. The second time book, also contains handwritten records spanning between 1953 and 1955 that record train numbers, dates of trips, miles traveled, and who the enginemen and trainmen were for the trips.
