Biographical Note

Jack London was born in San Francisco January 12, 1876. He led an adventurous life, only beginning his career as an author in the 1890s. He wrote short stories, serials, essays, articles, verse and novels. He died November 22, 1916 in Sonoma County, CA.

Immediate Source of Acquisition

Transferred from Rare Books Division of Special Collections in 2009.

Transferred from the University of Utah Special Collections to Utah State University to be part of the Jack London papers in 2014.

Existence and Location of Originals

The manuscript original belonged to the University of Utah, but was transferred to Utah State University to be included with the Jack London papers.
