Scope and Contents

Photographs document Japanese-American involvement in various civil and human rights organizational meetings and with Utah governors. Photographs of the Kasai family dating back to 1930. An album of slides, with typed narrative, detailing a visit to Kyoto, Japan and temples in that city.

3 albums were in need of preservation and had to be removed from their pages. These three albums were taken apart in order and placed in Box 16.

Twenty-four hour advanced notice encouraged. Materials must be used on-site. Access to parts of this collection may be restricted under provisions of state or federal law.

Abstract

The Alice Kasai photograph collection contain photographs of the Kasai family, photographs of various Japanese-American activities in Utah, including photographs of Governors Rampton and Bangerter signing documents. The collection also contains slides of buildings taken during a visit to Kyoto, Japan.
