Scope and Contents The first portion of this scrapbook is a newspaper column the Deseret News did in 1935. Renowned explorer and his wife, Captain and Mrs Kleinschmidt were sent to the North Pole to find Santa Claus. The newspaper printed the letters and pictures they received from the Kleinschmidts. There are articles about meeting Eskimos, using reindeer to help them travel, surviving wolf attacks, and meeting Santa Claus.
