Scope and Contents From the Collection: The Utah Labor Archives (1878-1979) represent a variety of labor organizations and unions in Utah. In addition to the organizations listed above, both the American Federation of Labor (AFL) and the Congress of Industrial organizations (CIO) are represented by records from their local bodies, the Utah State Federation of Labor and the Utah State Industrial Union Council, as well as by records of the Utah State AFL-CIO, which was formed by the merger of the two above named bodies in 1957.
