Scope and Contents Harding (b. 1925) was born in Provo, Utah. He discusses growing up on a farm, and his education. He was drafted in 1943, attended basic training, and was shipped to Noumea, New Caledonia, where he worked in a warehouse. He was also assigned to a post in the Philippines, where he was wounded and evacuated to Guam, then Hawaii. After his recover he was assigned as an MP in the motor pool.
