James John Sawdey photograph collection
James John "Jim" Sawdey (1916-1999) served in the 87th Infantry Regiment and the 10th Mountain Division during World War II. This collection contains two photograph albums documenting his training in the United States Army ski troops. It also documents the 10th Mountain Division's participation in the Italian Campaign circa 1944-19245.

Fayez A. Sayegh (1922-1980) was a scholar, educator, and diplomat who wrote about Palestine, Israel, and Zionism. This collection consists of slides, photographs, and negatives relating to Fayez Sayegh's career and personal life, particularly his family life and travels with wife Arlene Briem Sayegh and daughter, from 1946-1979. Included are photos of Fayez and Arlene Sayegh, their family, their house, and vacations across the United States, Europe and the Middle East.

The majority of news clippings, as well as correspondence, pertain to hunting and wildland management issues.

The John Schmitt papers (1879-2012) contains research materials pertaining to the McChrystal family, the Tintic Mining area, and Eureka. The McChrystal family arrived in Eureka from Michigan in 1877. Their life in Eureka and Salt Lake can be followed in various newspapers online such as The Salt Lake Tribune, Eureka Reporter and others. The Tintic Mining region is still active and increasing in importance.
Christian Schneider papers
The Christian Schneider papers (1884-1909) contain diaries, letters, a temple record, and "The Shirt-Tail Provenade," an account of a chapter of his life. Schneider was born in Switzerland in 1844. He joined the LDS Church at age 23 and moved to Utah in 1868, where he worked on the transcontinental railroad and was present when the Golden Spike was driven.
