The Elijah Malin Weiler papers (1839-1921) is a small railroading collection containing about forty pieces of correspondence. Weiler immigrated with his mother to the Salt Lake valley. He served in the 1865 Blackhawk War and was a missionary and settler in Muddy, Nevada. He was a member of the Crismon and Weiler Contractors firm and he assisted in building many of the railroad lines in Utah.

Welland (1933-1991) was born in New York and was one of many who became known as an "Atomic Veteran" due his work for the Air Force during the atmospheric nuclear testing program carried out by the United States in the 1940s to 1960s.
