The Clarice Short papers (1904-1975) consist of diaries, correspondence to her family in New Mexico, and rough drafts of poems. Short was an author and a member of the University of Utah Department of English.

The Linda Sillitoe papers (1940-1996) contain handwritten and typed manuscripts of poetry, fiction, and non-fiction, as well as research files consisting of news clippings, correspondence, articles, promotional materials, and other documents. Included are drafts and correspondence for a biography of Lowell L. Bennion by Mary Bradford for which Linda Sillitoe served as editor. Sillitoe is a writer and poet.

The Snow Cup Race scrapbook (1962-1963) consists of news clippings, correspondence, photographs, and project proposal materials. The Snow Cup Race was created to promote skiing in the Intermountain and Salt Lake Area. This event was held at Alta, Utah beginning in the 1940s. Skiers who have participated in the races include Jim Gaddis, Lynn Johnson, Billy Kidd, Corey Engen, and Margo Walters.

The collection contains biographical information and correspondence of extended family members within the Snyder and Sylvester families.
Social Hall research report
The Social Hall research report (1977) was created by John M. Bourne, a Pioneer State Park historian. It describes the construction and use of the old Social Hall in Salt Lake City, Utah, which was demolished in 1922. A replica of the building was erected at the Pioneer Trail State Park in Salt Lake City in 1979. Also included are a program for the ground breaking ceremonies for the replica and photocopied documents and clippings used in research.

William Spencer papers
The William Spencer papers (1960-2000) contains a scrapbook, newsletter, and clippings documenting William Spencer's career as a University of Utah and United States ski racer and an Olympic biathlete. The materials also document the development of biathlon as an Olympic sport. Included is a photocopy of the book Biathlon by Arthur Stegen. Spencer is a biathlete, skier, and cyclist. In February 2000 he was inducted into the Biathlon Hall of Fame.
