Abstract
The Dorothy Shepherd Van Stipriaan papers (1876-1984) consist of personal and family materials. Included are handbills, artwork, announcements, flyers, poetry, religious materials, and Dorothy's unpublished master's thesis. Dorothy Van Stipriaan (1909-1976) was a member of Salt Lake City's prominent Shepherd family. She was appointed head of the library's Fine Arts Department in 1966.

Included are catalogs, news articles, writings, programs, diaries, correspondence, drawings, and various ephemera. Ware was a painter, illustrator, costume designer, interior designer, and muralist. She is probably best remembered for her murals at Kingsbury Hall at the University of Utah.
