Patrick W. McKendrick papers
The Patrick W. McKendrick papers (1936-1939) consist of McKendrick's hand-written manuscript, as well as a typescript, describing his metal recycling project at the Salt Lake City garbage dump. McKendrick staked a mineral claim at the dump during the 1930s and began a sluice operation to recover the iron, gold, and silver left by decomposing cans and garbage.

The Orange A. Olsen papers (1945) contains one draft of Elk Below!, a book about nature conservation written by Olsen in 1945.
John T. Orton paper
The John T. Orton paper (1966) was written for a political science class at the University of Utah dealing with the controversy over creation of Canyonlands National Park. Accompanied by a scrapbook containing photocopied news clippings documenting the paper, typescripts of Congressional testimony, and maps.

Save Our Canyons records
The Save Our Canyons records (1955-2013) contain administrative materials, correspondence, community outreach materials, court records, and news clippings pertaining to the committee’s efforts to promote environmental conservation and protect natural spaces along the Wasatch Front. Save Our Canyons (SOC) is a non-profit organization founded in 1972 in response to growing threats to natural spaces along the Wasatch Front.
Barry Scholl papers
The Barry Scholl papers (1972-2006) include his writings and correspondence. Barry Scholl established the Entrada Institute, a Utah-based coalition of environmentalists, and the collection contains many of the articles and stories he has written about the cause, as well as his correspondence with various other activists, such as the author Ward Jay Roylance.

Wallace Earle Stegner photograph collection
The Wallace Earle Stegner photograph collection contains portraits of Wallace Stegner, his wife Mary Page Stegner, and thier son Stuart Page Stegner (Page); various photographs from trips he took including Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Germany, Italy, the Orient, as well as photographs from one of his good friends, the writer Bernard DeVoto.

Tracy Aviary records
The Tracy Aviary records (1938-1977) include letters and documents regarding Mr. and Mrs. Russell L. Tracy's gifts of birds and funds for development of the aviary, a master plan for aviary development, a historical report, business records, correspondence, and news clippings. Tracy Aviary, located in Salt Lake City, was commissioned in 1938.

The Stephen Trimble papers (1951-2014) contain the journals, correspondence, drafts, research, and notes relating to Trimble’s career as a writer, photographer, activist, and naturalist.

Ann Wechsler papers
The Ann Wechsler papers (1989-2002) included correspondence to conservationists regarding the opposition of the Snowbasin Land exchange, appeals, letters to members of government, statements, decisions, proposals, environmental impact reports, newspaper clippings and articles. Ann Wechsler was a lobbyist opposing the land exchange and also served as an environmental representative during the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, Utah.
John Weisheit papers
The John Weisheit papers (1871-1992) contain a copy of a manuscript for a book on Cataract Canyon, as well as research materials related to Cataract Canyon, the Grand Canyon, the Green River, and other notable Western rivers. John Weisheit is a wilderness guide for Tag-A-Long Expeditions. He also serves on non-profit boards such as the Canyonlands Field Institute and the Colorado Plateau River Guides.

The Wild Utah Project is a conservation organization working to maintain and restore natural lands in Utah and the American West. The Wild Utah Project records (1996-2011) consists of research materials that were used by the organization in pursuit of these goals.
David Charles Williams papers
The David Charles Williams papers (1971-2002) consists of the papers and correspondence on enviromental policy and workshops collected while Williams was the Chief of Planning and Enviromental Coordination for the Bureau of Land Management in the Department of the Interior. David Charles Williams spent his entire career in public service, including many years with the Bureau of Land Management.
