The Robert Starr Waite papers (1970-2002) contain correspondence, proposals, articles, and clippings relative to the establishment of the Great Basin National Park in Nevada. Robert Starr Waite was active in the creation of the Great Basin National Park.

The David M. Walden papers (1872-2000) contain materials collected by Walden while researching the history of St. Mark's Hospital in Salt Lake City. St. Mark's, the first hospital in Utah, was established in 1872 by members of the Episcopalian Church, mainly as a response to the health needs of miners flourishing in the area. Included in the collection are meeting materials, correspondence, newsletters, notes, news articles, publication excerpts, and other items.

The Larry James Warren papers (1984-2002) contain clippings from the Park City Magazine, Park City Guest Guide, and the Lodestar. Also included in the collection are various transcripts of radio interviews. Warren is a special features television reporter in the Salt Lake area. He is also actively involved in the University of Utah's Ski Archives.

The J. Nile Washburn papers (1990s) consist of a manuscript draft and several articles by Washburn regarding the history of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Included in the collection is a timeline chart depicting religious events. Mr. Washburn taught for the Department of Education of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

The Kirk Alan Watson papers (1833-2004) contain documents, articles, and correspondence pertaining to Watson's research into the fundamentalist break offs from of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church), beginning with early 1900s schisms such as the Eastmanites and moving through the formation of the "Woolley Group" that became the basis for LDS Fundamentalism, notorious for practicing polygamy.

The LaVarr G. Webb papers (1788-1986) contain pamphlets, articles, speeches, correspondence, political platforms, and other documents relavent to Utah and National politics. LaVarr G. Webb spent many years as a journalist and political activist.

The Ann Wechsler papers (1989-2002) included correspondence to conservationists regarding the opposition of the Snowbasin Land exchange, appeals, letters to members of government, statements, decisions, proposals, environmental impact reports, newspaper clippings and articles. Ann Wechsler was a lobbyist opposing the land exchange and also served as an environmental representative during the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The John Elliott Welsh papers (circa 1910-2000) is composed of mining and geological materials collected by Welsh, a geologist who received his Ph.D. from the University of Utah in 1959. The collection is centered around mining and geology in Utah, Nevada, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, Idaho, and Wyoming and includes maps, reports, essays, articles, correspondence, charts, diagrams, and notes. Also included in the collection are some personal papers and class materials.

The Charles I. Wheat papers (1937-1958) contain thirteen letters from Dale Morgan to Carl Wheat concerning research in Western history. Also included are transcripts of articles from various Illinois and Iowa newspapers and a proposal for a book by Wheat titled, First Visible Footsteps of the White Man in Death Valley.

The John Andreas Widtsoe papers (1858-1950) contain various articles and professional papers written by Widtsoe. John A. Widtsoe was President of the University of Utah from 1916-1921 and later became an apostle in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church).

The Women's Resource Center reference collection contains articles, brochures, pamphlets, reports, research papers, studies, theses and other materials. The included records serve as reference materials pertaining to a variety of topics affecting women in the University of Utah community. The record contains no historical or biographical information about the Women's Resource Center or any of its employees.

The Nathan Woolley papers (1949-1990) contain documents, correspondence, articles, brochures, and drawings pertaining to the career of architect Nathan Woolley (1921-1992).

The Clarence R. Wylie papers (1950-1970) contain published articles and monographs on mathematics. Also included is published poetry.
