The O. Ragnar Linde papers (1921-1966) contain personal papers, correspondence, and diaries documenting Olof Ragnar Linde's missionary experiences, as well as additional documents regarding the LDS Church.

The Martin S. Lindsay diary contains an account of day to day events in Salt Lake City, Utah, by Lindsay. He refers to personal affairs, church work, gardening, and makes several references to the exploits of Jack the Ripper in London.

The Mark Lindsey papers (1851-1997) consist of diaries (1851-1896), personal papers, and business records. Included are miscellaneous materials related to Lindsey Gardens.

The Alma James Lindsey papers (1890-1899) contain a diary, essay, and a photocopy of a news clipping. Lindsey was a warehouse owner and operator in Utah.

The James Henry Linford Jr. papers (1896-1912) contain diaries and record books.

The Preston and Helen Strobeck Linford papers (1936-1981) contain journals, family histories, certificates, poems, notes and other momentos of their marriage.

The Wesley Parkinson Lloyd diaries (1929-1935) consist of photocopies of Wesley Lloyd's diaries. Diaries kept from 1929-1935 giving an account of a mission to Pittsburgh (1929) for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and life in Salt Lake City (1933-1935).

The William Luck journal (1849-1868) was kept by Luck with intermittent entries. It begins with his joining the LDS Church and ends abruptly while describing his daily activities in Utah.

The Eliza Maria Partridge Smith Lyman diary [photocopy and typescript] (after 1889) consist of a record of a woman's day-to-day hardship and heartbreak while crossing the United States as a young wife and mother. Communities such as Salt Lake City, Oak City, Fillmore, and the San Juan country play important roles in the journal as family members moved and settled down.

The June K. Lyman papers (1930-2007) contain correspondence, diaries, news clippings, memorabilia, scrapbooks, and manuscript drafts related to the lives of June and Stanley D. Lyman and their work with the Bureau of Indian Affairs.

The Platte De Alton Lyman papers (1898-1901) consist of a diary [typescript] by Lyman and a biography of Lyman by his son, Albert R. Lyman. Platte Lyman was a cattle and horse rancher in southern Utah. He also served in various capacities in the LDS Church.

The Dennis L. Lythgoe papers (1977-2008) consist of correspondence, column manuscripts, personal materials, and newspaper clippings of the columnist and professor of history.

The Betty M. Madsen papers (1938-1997) contains journals, professional correspondence, unpublished manuscripts on linguistics and 19th-century women, and news clippings on women's issues in the 1970s and 1980s. Betty M. Madsen was a graduate of the University of Utah with degrees in French and linguistics. She was the co-author of several publications with her husband, Brigham D. Madsen and served as thesis editor at the University of Utah in the 1970s.

The Brigham D. Madsen papers (1854-2000) contain diaries, correspondence, research files, and manuscripts. In addition, there is primary and secondary source material on the Northwestern Shoshone Indians, most particularly the Shoshone and Bannock, whose tribal lands are now limited to the Fort Hall Indian Reservation in Southeastern Idaho.

The Hans Olson Magleby papers (1855-1875) consist of photocopies of the diary kept by Magleby (b. 1835) from 1855 to 1875, and a transcript of the diary and his autobiography, written in 1857. The documents contain genealogical date and cover topics such as the author's conversion to the LDS Church in Denmark, a mission to Norway, sailing for America, joining a handcart company, the journey to Utah, life in Ogden and Salt Lake City, and a move to Monroe on the Sevier River in 1875.

The Heber L. Magleby diary [typescript] (1900) was kept by Magleby during the South American Expedition of 1900. This expedition was launched by professors and students from Brigham Young Academy and Snow Academy in an effort to validate Book of Mormon historical claims through archaeological discovery.

The Allen Dean Marler diary and correspondence (1923-1924) were both written by Marler while serving a mission for the LDS Church in the Eastern United States.

The Cyprian Marsh papers (1829-1996) consists of the diary of Cyprian Marsh (1829-1886), a certificate of ordination as an elder signed by Joseph Smith (1842), a history of family ownership of the diary, and loose notes thought to be written by Cyprian Marsh. Marsh was a convert to the LDS Church who fled Nauvoo in 1846 and came to Utah in 1853.
