Freemen Institute records
The Freemen Institute records (1963-1980) consist of pamphlets, course outlines, clippings, questionnaires, drafts of critical essays, correspondence, and notes. Also included are transcripts of speeches by Ezra Taft Benson supporting the organization. The Freemen Institute was a conservative political organization based in Salt Lake City, Utah. Many of its members were LDS Church members.
Virginia P. Frobes Utah political collection
The Virginia P. Frobes Utah political collection (1894-1956) consists of correspondence between notable Utah politicians and businessmen. Included are documents concerning Samuel Newhouse, Charles C. Parsons, Joseph H. Hutchinson, D. D. Moffat, Ray S. McCarty, Lillie M. Harris, and representatives of various mining companies. Also included is a scrapbook from the personal library of Fisher Harris which contains news clippings about his life and career.

Gunn is an Associate Professor in the Department of History at the University of Utah and a specialist in nineteenth century American political history.
