The mining industry scrapbook (1872-1873) consists of news clippings describing Utah's mining industry during the late nineteenth century.

The Mining photograph collection contains images of mining, mining equipment, and smelters in Utah. Also included are photographs of Geneva Steel taken in 1943.

The H. Byron Mock papers (1881-2004) consist of personal and business materials. Mock served for a number of years in the Bureau of Land Management as Director of the Colorado-Utah Region, as a member of the Public Land Law Review, and also had a private legal firm. The majority of his work deals with mining and grazing rights in the West.

The Montana Uinta Hydrocarbon Company correspondence (1906) is between B. B. Haywood of Salt Lake City, Utah, and James A. Flint of Pony, Montana, concerning elaterite and asphaltum claims in Utah.

The Moscow Silver Mines Company photograph collection consists of photos from the Moscow lead and silver mine; located in Beaver county, Utah. The company operated in Star District, Beaver County, Utah, and included three properties, the Moscow, the Beaver Combination, and the Red Warrior. Big ore returns from the Moscow Silver Mines Company's efforts were prevalent during the 1920s-1930s, bringing boosts to nearby towns such as Milford.

The Frank E. Moss papers (1931-1992) contain congressional papers of Senator Frank E. Moss, 1959-76, covering the 86th-93rd Congress, and personal files, 1935-76. Besides the congressional files the papers include biographical information, photographs, plaques, certificates, honors, etc. represetative of his eighteen years as U.S. Senator.

The Mountain Lake Extension Mining Company records consists of a minute book from board of directors (1907-1908), an account ledger (1892-1906) and a stock ledger (1897-1907).

The Charles James Neal photograph collection consists of images of Charles Neal and his family. It also includes pictures of the Uintah Stage and Railway, the Uintah (Vernal) Telephone Company, Dinosaur National Monument, a number of gilsonite mining companies, several dozen petroglyphs, and many miscellaneous Uintah County scenes.

The New Klondike Mining Company collection (1960, 1963) consist of two maps, each depicting a separate dam and reservoir site relative to the companies workings.

The New Park Mining Company records (1930-1961) contain materials relating to this Utah business. Included in the collection are reports, correspondence, financial information, name lists, bulletins, legislative announcements, invoices, receipts, vouchers, and proxy votes. The New Park Mining Company operated in both Park City and Keetly, Utah.

The New Quincy Mining Company records (1897-1941) consist of three mining property maps for this company, one of which is in Park City, Utah. The other two are of unidentified properties. Also included in the collection are numerous hand drawn mine diagrams, notes, and other administrative materials such as correspondence, reports, and stockholder materials. Further information on this company could not be found.

The Ohio Copper Company of Utah ledger (1925-1930) contains stockholder meeting minutes, correspondence and reports regarding the company.

The Andrew Orr letters (1877-1878) consist of five letters written to his wife, Jinney Orr, while Orr was in Utah and Sonora on unspecified mining business.

The Owl Creek mining claim collection (1880s) contains hand-copied duplicates of letters between J. H. White and Felix Chapellet. The letters concern the operation and progress of the Owl Creek claim, tunnels built, lumber, and a discussion on selling the claim. Included in the collection are notes on ranches and other properties in the area, and a hand-drawn mine map. Owl Creek is located in Placer, California.

The Paine brothers mining collection (circa 1850) consists of a sketch map of the mining claims of the Paine Brothers in Nevada County, California, and a photocopy of a handwritten narrative, "In The Days Of Old And The Days Of Gold." The narrative, possibly written by Milton Paine, is a humorous short story set in the hydraulic gold mining days of California and contains a description of gold rush mining camp life.

The Joel O. Palmer report (1977) contain one bound copy the geology report by Palmer titled "The Rocky Pass Area Tungsten Mines, Box Elder County, Utah: A Preliminary Geological Investsigation." Palmer was a consulting economic geologist.
