Historical Note
The Utah Chapter of the National Association of Postmasters of the United States is one of the fifteen original chapters. The charter application was approved and signed on February 29, 1935. Bert Smoot, Postmaster from Salt Lake City, played an important part in helping with the organization of the National Association. He served as national president in 1938.
