George W. Latimer papers
The George W. Latimer papers (1926-2007) consists of records and papers of civil court and court-martial cases handled by Latimer. Of particular interest are the files regarding the My Lai Massacre and Lieutenant William L. Calley, whom Latimer defended in 1974. Latimer was a lawyer and judge. He was elected as Utah State Supreme Court justice in 1946 and was a judge on the U.S. Court of Military Appeals in 1951.
