The Marriott Employees Staff Association records (1983-2003) consist of materials generated by members of this Marriott Library group, otherwise known as MESA. The records include governing documents (such as by-laws), administrative correspondence, membership information, staff surveys, event planning and announcements, financial records, newsletters and literary magazines, meeting minutes, and miscellaneous items.

J. Willard and Alice Sheets Marriott papers
J. Willard and Alice Sheets Marriott formed a business partnership in 1927 that produced one of the twentieth century's most successful hotel and restaurant chains. Not only did they make a lasting impact in the service and hospitality industry, but they left their mark in the political, religious, and academic arenas as well. Their papers range in date from the 1920s to the 1980s and have been divided into nine sections.

Cyprian Marsh papers
The Cyprian Marsh papers (1829-1996) consists of the diary of Cyprian Marsh (1829-1886), a certificate of ordination as an elder signed by Joseph Smith (1842), a history of family ownership of the diary, and loose notes thought to be written by Cyprian Marsh. Marsh was a convert to the LDS Church who fled Nauvoo in 1846 and came to Utah in 1853.
H. Leo Marshall papers
The H. Leo Marshall papers (1950-1969) consist of a summarized history of the University of Utah College of Medicine, a personalized story of the University of Utah College of Medicine, a typescript of the Tooele Marshall Family, and a speech given by Marshall for the Centennial Convocation in 1950. Marshall was a professor of public health and preventive medicine at the University of Utah.

The Robert Marsham diary (1864-1865) consists of a photocopy of the original diary. Marsham was a well-known explorer, and in this diary he describes his travels in Northern California, British Columbia, Yosemite, Idaho, Utah, the Sandwich Islands, and the Far East. The William and Carrie Bales Martindale photograph collection contains photographs of the Martindales, their friends and family, their travels, and their work at Sears Roebuck Company spanning from the 1900s to 1970s.

Michael Martinez was the third Hispanic person to graduate from the University Of Utah School Of Law, and the first to practice law in Utah.
