The Owl Creek mining claim collection (1880s) contains hand-copied duplicates of letters between J. H. White and Felix Chapellet. The letters concern the operation and progress of the Owl Creek claim, tunnels built, lumber, and a discussion on selling the claim. Included in the collection are notes on ranches and other properties in the area, and a hand-drawn mine map. Owl Creek is located in Placer, California.

The John Pack record book (1840s) is entitled "Record of the Third Hundred or Grand Division of the first Company, Organized November 18th, 1845."
