The Barbara Richards papers (1976-2020) contains exhibition catalogs of her work along with student essays from her career teaching. Also included is a memoir written by Richards and a photo book. Richards was a self-taught photographer whose photographs have been exhibited and published.

The Edith Leroy Richardson papers (1883-1971) is comprised of two scrapbooks, nursing certificates, and other documents pertaining to and/or collected by Richardson (1881-1977), a professional nurse who was also a granddaughter of Chief Tintic of the Uintah Utes.

The Raye Carleson Ringholz papers (1964-1995) contain Ringholz's office papers. Included in the files are correspondence, research projects, manuscripts, newspaper clippings and miscellaneous materials. Ringholz is a noted woman writer from Utah.

The Shirley Ririe papers (1946-2010) consist mainly of programs, announcements, and news clippings pertaining to Ririe and the Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company. Also included are correspondence, biographical information, and miscellaneous personal material. Shirley Ririe is a co-founder of the Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company, which is based in Salt Lake City.

The Kenneth Irving Ross papers (1893-2014) consists of materials regarding his explorations of the Southwest as well as his time as the director of Explorers' Camp.

The Susan Barbara Tallmon Sargent papers (1891-1973) consist of correspondence, journals, news clippings, reports, articles, guest books, and financial documents collected by Sargent's niece, Ardis Hitchcock, who was planning on writing a biography of Sargent, a medical missionary to China.

This collection consists of items donated by World War II veterans in conjunction with their oral history interviews conducted by the American West Center. This collection is ongoing, and items will be added periodically.

The Jan Shipps papers (1961-1979) consist of two papers written by Shipps entitled "Writings about Modern Mormonism: An Essay Review on Samuel W. Taylor's Latest Book" and "An 'Inside-Outsider' in Zion."

The Clarice Short papers (1904-1975) consist of diaries, correspondence to her family in New Mexico, and rough drafts of poems. Short was an author and a member of the University of Utah Department of English.

The William Sloan letter to John Kerr (1864) describes Sloan's time in Virginia City where he was selling livestock and being involved with the freighting business in the West.

The Sally Smith letter (1820) was written by Sally Smith to her sister, Eliza Barrett. Sally Smith lived in upstate New York in 1820 and the letter contains a reference similar to a Book of Mormon passage.

The letter (1955), written by Mr. Dobson to John Stallings, describes in detail his search for uranium and registering claims. Accompaning the letter are five photographs with notations.

The Richard L. Stimson papers (1944-2014) contain personal narratives, correspondence, and World War II (WWII) memorabilia including documents relating to the 100th Infantry.

The George and Susan Matsumura Sunada papers (1935-2001) consist primarily of Susan Sunada's research materials related to Japanese Americans in Utah and the West. George worked as a commercial artist for Sears. Susan was the Foreign Student Advisor for Utah State University, a secretary for Baugh Real Estate, executive secretary to the mayor, and a photo-journalist for the Deseret News in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The Faith Terasawa papers (1942-1955) contain documents resulting from the internment of her family at the Central Utah Relocation Center ("Topaz") from 1942-1945. These include personal records, especially those surrounding the death of her father, Rev. B. H. Terasawa; camp administrative documents; educational documents; and camp publications.
