The Melvin A. Cook photograph collection contains images relative to the investigation of potential and/or accidental explosions in a variety of areas and situations and the study and development and disposal of explosive materials. Subject matter includes electron diffraction, action of commercial xanthates, tungsten burners, etc. Also included; specialized photograph equipment, business meetings, and geology "before and after" images of test explosions.

The Walter Pace Cottam papers (1929-1988) contain biographical and commemorative articles and speeches about Walter Cottam. Also included are photocopies of three speeches given by Cottam primarily dealing with beautification and conservation of Utah natural resources, correspondence, a notebook, and research information. Cottam was a professor of botany at the University of Utah, 1931-1962.

The Cedric I. Davern papers (1980-1988) contain correspondence, research notes and papers, article reprints, lecture materials, student papers, and news clippings. Davern was Professor of cellular, viral, and molecular biology at the University of Utah. He also served as Dean of the Medical School and Academic Vice President of the University of Utah.

The Stephen David Durrant papers (1935-1975) consist of various papers surrounding the biology career of Durrant (1902-1975). Included are writings, correspondence, news articles, biographical information, lecture materials, and obituaries.

The ENECO records (1912-2007) consist of patents, contracts, research, office, and financial documents collected by the company. ENECO (formerly FEAT) was a private company that centered on cold-fusion technology and the commercialization of such technology. The majority of patents registered by ENECO were invented by scientists Stanley Pons and Martin Fleischmann. Technologies engineered by ENECO have had a great impact on the local and international scientific communities.

The Environmental Geology and Geologic Hazards in Utah: A Photographic Series consists of images and information compiled by Bruce N. Kaliser. The collection is available online and provides visual and descriptive material on environmental and engineering geology and geologic hazards in Utah.
