This collection contains digital-only scans of black-and-white panoramas and photographs and postcards related to Sacred Grove and the Joseph Smith farm in New York in the 1920s and 1930s.

Fukutaro “Frank” Shikashio (1883-1970) was born on July 19, 1884 in Fukuoke, Japan and immigrated to the United States, where he and his wife, Miyoshi Kusaba (1896-1993) raised their children in Idaho. Frank's son James Shikashio (1920-2010) served in the United States military during World War II. The Frank Shikashio digital photograph collection contains portraits of Frank, Miyoshi, and James Shikashio dating from approximately 1940 to 1970.
